This will be my second year trading at Manifest and I’m incredibly excited. I have designed a nice collection of new 1″ badges and a totally snazzy t-shirt. Let’s just say, if you like dinosaurs, this is your year!

I will also be taking commissions (digital – to be completed after the event) for those who are interested.

Aloha~ an update at last!

The past few weeks have been an absolute dream. Here are a few of the highlights:

{ 8th May }  This year I attended DoujiCon IV for the first time as a trader. It was wonderful to see so many familiar faces, meet other artists, talk to attendees and sell my designs. Thanks to everyone for their support, it was great fun!

{ 12th May }  The illustration above (click here for a larger version) was created especially for a job interview. Their style is more ‘realistic’, so I wanted to show that I am more than willing (and capable) of stepping outside of my cute, cartoony style. Thankfully it sealed the deal – I am now a full-time graphic artist! I am absolutely over the moon and cannot wait to get started in my new career.

{ 20th May }  I had the wonderful opportunity to be a ‘model’ for my good friend, photographer Andrew Coles. We had so much fun. After completing a full day shoot, I must say I definitely have far more respect for professional models. It’s not as easy as it looks! You can view the results here.

The Easter weekend may have passed by already, but it’s never too late for some extra cuteness!

In the first week of November, 2009 I searched my heart for what I needed out of life. Everything changed. I realised that ultimately (and put quite simply) the purpose of my life is to;

I am passionate for the creative world. Be it art, design, film, fashion, theatre, games, music, architecture, culture, history or nature, I LOVE it all. There is so much beauty and intrigue before us and thus so many precious moments to be shared.

With the skills I possess in art and design, I want to capture all these moments and create memorable and meaningful experiences for myself and others.

There is still much for me to learn (as a person and an artist) so I would like to share this adventure with you. This blog is about growth; I will post art/design studies (including completed works), cover the development of creative projects and discuss all things I am passionate about.

Fellow explorers and admirers of this amazing world and creativity are most welcome. Don’t be a stranger. I would like to hear about your tales too and always appreciate thoughtful comments.
